you might want to put a link to this on your blog.
Nice work - and a great collaborative way to bring people together to think about hope in this place and time. I can see some groups sent photos to you as well. You could use this as a touch point to begin discussions in face to face time as well.

What's this site about?

I'm a Lutheran Christian, and I think that one of the biggest gifts this particular view of God and the world has to offer is the gift of hope--not just far off someday in the future, but right now. I also believe that the internet in general, and social media in particular, can be a very powerful tool for reminding us of that hope through the building of community...even a virtual community of virtual strangers.

On this site, I'm gathering words of hope. For too many people, especially teenagers and young adults and particularly those who others see as "different" or who are going through a tough time, there is no sense of hope for the future. If this describes you, know that you are not alone. Look through the pictures on this site, each of them submitted by someone who believes strongly enough that there IS hope for the future. These are people from all over the United States, from many walks of life, and their messages are for you.

If you wish to submit a message of your own, write your words of hope on a piece of paper...decorate it as you wish, and take a picture of it. If you're comfortable including your first name and where you're from on the picture, that helps add an important sense that "this is a real person talking to me," and even more so if you're comfortable including your face in the picture. If not, that's fine too. Email pictures to:
